Has a total stranger ever given you money?
Happened to me today. It is windy in Seattle and rainy too. I am pretty rough looking guy on a good day. Hair getting long, beard, old sneakers and BDU's. Thought where I work was going to get flooded so I was there late making sure stuff was off the floor. I am wet and tired.
It is day before payday. I have $1.18. Bus fare is $1.25. were it not or the bad weather I would have walked home. Go to bus stop. Bus pulls up.
I tell driver I am short on fare. He asks where I am going. I say "Front ST". He tells me come onboard...don't worry about fare. It is a short ride. Walk it all the time in nice weather.
As I get up to get off at Front ST lady hands me three bucks and says...."just in case the next bus driver isn't so nice."
I thank her.
Nice lady.
Now I don't have to walk to work in morning.
When my son was in the Children's Hospital in Ft. Worth (he had leukemia) - we were really getting tight on money to go eat in the hospital cafeteria, so my husband and I were counting our change to see if we had enough to go eat, when a man came out of no where and gave us a twenty dollar bill. I still to this day don't know who he was. That helped us so much, and we were able to carefully eat off that for the next two days. We have often wondered if it was an angel.
