What is the Best Running Shoe for a Woman
The best women's running shoe really depends on what your training routine is like and what kind of feet you have. What kind of terrain will you be running on? Are you planning on running marathons or just for general fitness. It's important to consider whether you will be running indoors, on a track, or in difficult terrain.
Another important factor is your training schedule. For example, do you run a lot of long distances, or do you mostly take short, fast runs? If you are running long distances, you will need a shoe that supports your arch and cushions against some of the impact placed on your knees and the bones in your feet by repetitive contact with the ground. You will need to make sure that your shoe is wide enough for your foot.
Many people claim that womens Nike running shoes are too narrow, so if you have wide feet you might want to consider a different brand. Nike running shoes also tend to be the most expensive, so if you are on a budget they will probably not be a good option. New Balance and Asics both often seem to offer shoes at a wider range of prices, and both brands tend to make shoes that are wider than those manufactured by Nike.
One favorable aspect of Nike running shoes, however, is that though they are often very expensive, they will last you forever. I don't have such wide feet, so I usually do buy Nike shoes, and I only have to replace them because I have gone over the 500 mile per pair of running shoes guideline, never because they fall apart. I have in my closet a pair of Nike running shoes that have to be at least five or six years old, and I could still run in them if I wanted to.
All in all, there are favorable and unfavorable aspects of every brand of running shoe, but the good fit and support I have gotten from my Nikes over the years, combined with their durability, makes them worth the price for me.
